Welcome to Peter Doucet's updates from the 2006 World Roller Speed Skating Championships coming to you direct from Anyang, Korea. Updates are planned to be posted on a nightly basis or perhaps less frequently once racing begins. The championships take place September 2nd to the 9th. August 19th 2006

I've been trying to figure out the best way to cover this year's world championships without compromising the hard work that I've put into my training. I figured the best way to do this would be via a nightly diary that is not intrusive on my time at worlds. I'll post quick entries into these little boxes.I know this page isn't fancy and the content likely won't be up-to-the-minute as it's been in the past, but I hope to give you a glimpse into the unique and special world championship experience.

I know, I know, you LOVE to see pictures. Here's a few you can check out: World Team Fundraiser Clinic photos from Harriston and Canadian Team photos. Here are photos of the USA World Team and their camp.

Just a FYI: I am planning on a super great article covering that world championships for Race & Roll Skating Magazine. Alright, before I go, here's a newspaper article from New Zealand: Skaters Never Looked Back.
